2006: Rui played in 104 games last season and hit .362 with 83 kills on 185 attacks. She had 13 block solos, 66 block assists and 197 digs. She also recorded 15 service aces. Her best outing came against Tennessee when she had eight kills and four blocks. Against Jacksonville State, she had eight kills, four digs and 12 blocks.
2005: Rui had five kills and four blocks against Florida in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen match. She had seven kills and five blocks against Maryland in the second round. She had six kills and 2 blocks against WKU in the first round of the NCAAs. She was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week and was second on the team in hitting percentage at .431. She had a season-high nine blocks against Georgetown. She had a season-high 11 kills against Notre Dame, Her .786 hitting against Notre Dame (11-0-14) in the regular season is the highest ever by a non-ND player in the Joyce Center. It is the second-highest hitting mark in facility history.
She also had 11 kills vs. Marquette in the BIG EAST Championship and tied school record with 12 block assists in BIG EAST final against Notre Dame.
High School: She played four years at middle blocker for Coach Yangmali and was part of the team that won the Power Bowl in Finland, the Asian Bowl in Viet Nam and the Sports Master in China.
