The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a season-high 304 in the final round of the NCAA East Regional Championship Saturday afternoon at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The Cardinals finished in tenth place just below the eight team cut off for the NCAA Championships. Freshman standout Sara-Maude Juneau qualified as an individual for the NCAA Championships on May 20-23 at the University of New Mexico's Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.

Juneau finished the day two over par. The freshman finished tied for second with a score of 215. She tied Duke's Amanda Blumenhurst, just one stroke off the leader. Juneau was even par as she made the turn and finished the back nine at two over. She finished the day with two birdie and four bogeys.

Junior Cindy LaCrosse shot a 73 on the final day and finished tied at 20th with a score of 224. LaCrosse made the turn at one under and finished the final nine holes at two over par. She finished the day with four birdies and five bogeys.

Junior Amanda Henry shot a 77 in the final round to finish tied at 80th with a score of 238. Henry made the turn at even par and finished the final nine holes at five over. Freshman Laura Anderson shot an 80 in the final round to finish tied at 68th with a score of 235. Senior Jenny Calkins shot an 83 in the final round to finished tied at 96th with a score of 245.

The University of Florida won the East Regional with a score of 883. The defending national champions Duke finished second with a score of 884 while Georgia finished third with a score of 889.
