LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's cross country team earned All-Academic Team honors for 2007 with the 13th-best team GPA in the nation, while the Cardinal men's team also earned All-Academic Team honors for 2007.

"We take a lot of pride in doing things the right way at the University of Louisville and that starts with hard work in the classroom and in the community," said Cards' head coach Ron Mann. "And for our men's team to have success in the classroom and on the race course at the NCAA Championships is a testament to the hard work from each one of our athletes."

Overall, the Louisville women were the second-best BIG EAST squad in team GPA and the top team from the state of Kentucky.

The Louisville men combined the best season in school history, which included a ninth-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships and the program's first ever BIG EAST title, with a highly successful season in the classroom as the Cards finished 2007 with a team GPA of 3.06.
